Alabama’s crackdown on illegal immigrants will come under fire Wednesday in a federal courtroom. A judge will consider three lawsuits seeking to stop the new law from taking effect.

The immigration law is considered one of the toughest in the nation. The law makes it a crime to give illegal immigrants a ride or rent property to them.
